If you don't go on to read the rest of this, let me just start with- I have a great respect for hair stylists, as many of my friends are in this line of work. But the staff at this location are too incompetent to follow simple directions. If you're getting anything more than the product they sell at the front, I highly advise not going to this salon.
This was, by far, my worst experience at a salon- it takes a lot for me to take my time to write a review.
Horrible service! A blind person could have done a better job!! Hair uneven so upset!!
They did a great job my first visit so I'm going back toady.
I've been here a few times over the past 4-5 months and it has been ok. Some stylists were better than others. I'm not picky about my cut so for the price it was good.
So I arrived at this place with my hair up and explained to whomever 'helped' me EXACTLY what I wanted. As she was cutting, she made a comment that it wouldn't look good to cut off the little piece that I wanted shorter. I wasn't sure if it was on the top layer when my hair was down, but figured it was, as she was saying it wouldn't look right. So instead she suggests layers might help and starts giving me layers EVEN THOUGH I explicitly expressed that I wanted my hair all to be the same length when I arrived.
Will not be returning.
The kicker was- I went home and asked my girlfriend to fix the long piece that was bothering me. She saw that it wasn't visible while my hair was down and with craft scissors, fixed my only solvable problem.
When it was over, nothing that I wanted was accomplished. My long year+ of growing my hair out was stunted, my entire head was different lengths, barely any of my hair fit into a ponytail, and there was still one piece longer than all of the others!
So I've been growing my hair out since buzzing it down last March and it finally got to a length that was long enough to get most of the pieces into a ponytail with only a few hanging out. The only problem was this really long, small portion of hair that stuck out in the ponytail further than the rest. The other thing I specified wanting to fix was having my hair the same length because it was mildly choppy from the growing-out stages, which would have still left my hair at a good length for a shorter ponytail. And that's literally all I wanted to get fixed. (I know I seem obsessed with this ponytail thing, but it's really important that it's not distracting me or falling out when I'm playing soccer).
I wasn't looking for a cut- just a trim to make things look neat. She probably buzzed 2-3 parts of my hair and said it's fine. A clip or two of scissor on top and I was told that it's done. Total time in the chair comes in around 5 minutes or less. I paid and walked away. I tipped her even though I shouldn't have.
Poor attitude with many of the stylists there - when I was waiting; a young boy sat down and wasn't sure what he wanted. The stylist says "Lets get Dad, I don't have time for second cuts or changes to your style - we are too busy for that."
Wonder why they have "Stylists wanted" on the window.....
I should have known my experience wasn't going to be a positive one, as the two women working didn't even present themselves or their hair in a positive manner. From my experience, stylists who don't care enough to make their own hair look presentable typically reflect that in their work.
I wasn't looking for a cut. More of a clean up or trim if you will. When I asked for a trim I was discouraged as "there's not that much coming off". Subsequently told that my hair would not be the style I was asking for. Again, I'm not picky about my hair I just want it to be neat...
Worst haircut experience ever for my two sons! Thank goodness hair grows back, we always get a scissor cut and never machine so I go to sit on the other side with my other son come back to my older one and she cut his hair with machine short as it can be, not friendly, can’t follow be notes or simple instructions, not kid friendly either!!! Horrible!
Within the last 2 weeks I lost my sideburns at the discretion of my stylist. Not impressed but theyll grow back. Today I had a less then pleasesnt experience as the salon was busy and it was clear they were trying to push people out. Detail later.
